Dublin North East Labour Deputy Tommy Broughan has encouraged his unemployed constituents to check out the 2011 DCU Ryan Academy Business Innovation Programme.? The programme will help unemployed professionals to upskill and re-join the workforce.? It has been approved as part of the Higher Education Authority?s Springboard initiative and is free to eligible participants.

It is a 9 month part-time programme with both academic classes and work experience, thus providing training and qualifications in innovation and entrepreneurial skills and product/service development as a route to business expansion.

Eligible participants must be a graduate or professional with a minimum of 5 years work experience or a non-graduate professional with significant work experience at managerial level.

Deputy Broughan said, ?DCU are currently recruiting participants for the 2011 programme and are holding Open Days for prospective students on 29th July and 19th August from 10am to 12pm at 3013 Lake Drive, Citywest Business Campus, Dublin 24. I would urge all constituents who are unemployed and eligible for the programme to strongly consider taking part.?
